Clay Element offers a variety of classes to help you build your wheel throwing and hand building skills.

Intermediate Wheel Throwing - $495
Beginner Wheel Throwing - $330

Learn the art of wheel throwing in this four-week introductory course designed for beginners. You’ll explore the entire process — from centering clay and shaping bowls and cylinders to trimming, glazing, and understanding the firing stages.

  • Class duration - 4 weeks

  • Class size - 5 people

  • Class time - 3 hrs/wk

  • Practice time - 2 hrs/wk

  • 20 hours total instruction/studio use

  • Includes class clay, glazes, firing, and class tools

  • Must be 16+

Beginner Hand Building - $330

Refine your wheel throwing skills through a variety of projects including sets, mugs, plates, vases, and anything on Pinterest that interests you! It is strongly recommended to have experience working with clay or completed the beginner wheel class before taking the intermediate wheel class.

  • Class size - 5 people

  • Class time - 3hrs/wk

  • Practice time - 2 hrs/wk

  • 30 hours total instruction/studio use

Intermediate Hand Building - $495

This beginner friendly class introduces fundamental hand building techniques as pinching, coiling, and slab construction. You'll learn how to shape, texture, and glaze your own unique piece. No experience necessary.

Take your clay skills to the next level. This class is designed for students who are comfortable with basic hand building techniques and ready to refine their craftmanship. You will work with advanced slab and coil construction, experiment with surface design, and learn to develop your own creative style.
